Supporting World Mental Health Awareness Day
In support of World Mental Health Awareness Day today (October 10), KP Snacks has signed the ‘Time to Change’ pledge, to highlight the importance we place on the health and wellbeing of all our KP Snacks colleagues – including their mental health.
Time to Change is an initiative led by the mental health charity, MIND, and the Department of Health. It aims to raise awareness of mental health issues, and help to reduce the associated stigma. One in four people will suffer from a mental health problem at some point in their lives – for example depression, anxiety or stress.
Signing the pledge highlights KP Snacks’ commitment to take the issue of mental health seriously and to support our people in various ways, should they need it. One such support is a recently-launched Employee Assistance Programme called EmployeeCare, which is now available to all KP Snacks colleagues.
A Mental Health Awareness Day at KP Snacks headquarters in Hayes on 8 October also highlighted the issues and celebrated the signing of the Pledge.
