Guiding the way we do business

KP Snacks colleagues have worked together to articulate a set of values and behaviours to guide the way we do business.  They grew out of discussions with people in all areas, sites and functions of our company and represent a shared view of the way we should work together and do business.  They're also a catalyst for positive business development, now and into our future.

We have a positive attitude

This means we:

  • Have fun!
  • Challenge ourselves in everything we do
  • Go the extra mile
  • Embrace change
  • Believe in ourselves and each other
  • Trust that people do what they do for a good reason

This means we don’t:

  • Dampen the enthusiasm of others
  • Drag others down
  • Use unhelpful body language
  • Blame others for how we feel

We value our people

This means we:

  • Treat each other with respect
  • Are open and honest
  • Listen
  • Give and receive feedback
  • Coach people to learn and develop
  • Allow people to take calculated risks and learn from mistakes
  • Respect work-life balance
  • Celebrate success
  • Say ‘thank you’ and ‘well done’

This means we don’t:

  • Overload our people
  • Ignore people’s views and concerns
  • Force our opinions on others
  • Exclude people
  • Tolerate people who consistently fail to demonstrate the KP Behaviours

We achieve together

This means we:

  • Look out for others
  • Encourage everyone’s views
  • Make the most of everyone’s strengths
  • Share responsibility
  • Are focused on the same goals
  • Offer help and support
  • Share best practice
  • Encourage cross-functional working

This means we don't:

  • Work in silos
  • 'Bad mouth' others - functions or people
  • Blame others

We take personal ownership

This means we:

  • Do what we say
  • See things through, with pace
  • Make tomorrow better than today
  • Speak up and challenge
  • Own up to our mistakes
  • Consider the impacts of our actions
  • Say “I’ll do that”
  • Make decisions, and at the right level
  • Set high standards for ourselves and others

This means we don't:

  • Accept poor performance
  • Walk away from a problem
  • 'Pass the buck'
  • Take ownership away from others
  • Overcomplicate things
  • Avoid having difficult conversations
