Recycle your nuts, popcorn, crisps and pretzels packets and raise money for charity!

Through our pacKPromise programme we are striving to make all our plastic film packaging 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025. In the meantime, we’ve partnered with recycling company TerraCycle® to allow you to recycle your nuts, popcorn, crisps and pretzels packets.

How to get involved

1.
Sign up to TerraCycle® and establish your public drop-off location
Every subscription helps to fund charities or community organisations.
2.
Collect your empty nuts, popcorn, crisps and pretzels packets
The more, the better. Get your friends, family, colleagues and local community groups in on the action.
3.
Send your packets back to TerraCycle® for free
Give your packets a new lease of life and turn them into something wonderful. They could end up as watering cans, storage boxes or even outdoor furniture. Imagine that!

Please note that if you visit www.terracycle.co.uk/kpsnacks and find an existing public drop-off location near you, you can take your accepted waste along and drop it off during the designated hours. If there isn’t a public drop-off location for packets near you, you can set up your own.

FAQs

TerraCycle® is a recycling company, known for recycling the ‘non-recyclable.’ TerraCycle® diverts millions of pounds of waste from landfills and incinerators each year and turns it into everyday usable things, like watering cans, storage boxes or even outdoor furniture.

Any brand of nuts, popcorn, crisps and pretzels packets.

We can’t accept:

  • Seed packets
  • Nutrient powder and topper packets
  • Dried fruit packets
  • Meat snacking packets
  • Crisp tubes

The nuts, popcorn, crisps and pretzels packets are cleaned, shredded and converted into pellets or flakes so they can be moulded into new everyday usable products like watering cans, storage boxes or even outdoor furniture.

If you visit www.terracycle.co.uk/kpsnacks and find there isn’t a public drop-off location for packets near you, you can set up your own. You’ll need to send at least 2kg (or approximately 600 packets) each time you send them to receive TerraCycle® points, so it’s best to club together with family, friends, colleagues or any local community groups you’re part of.
