Good for our people

Good for our people

We'd be nothing without our people.

That's why we're committed to important things like health and safety, wellbeing and career development. KP prides itself on being a good place to work and we aim to help our teams to develop, stay safe and healthy and progress their careers the way they want to.

A great place to work

Through our graduate and apprenticeship schemes, we work hard to bring the best talent to our business and nurture success.

Comprehensive and ongoing training and career development helps our KP colleagues to grow their careers and our business to maintain its competitive edge.

Health and safety

Wellbeing matters, so we fight the stigma and stress that can hold people back.  We've also signed up to all five of the Health at Work pledges of the Government's Responsibility Deal.

We offer a comprehensive Employee Health and Safety programme to support our people in leading healthy and fulfilling lifestyles – both at work and beyond.

Communicating our values

We believe a well-informed team is also a well-motivated team. Our aim is to communicate clearly and honestly with all KP colleagues, to foster an open, productive culture and maintain mutual trust in the workplace.  We're also rolling out a 'Values & Behaviours' programme, to guide our culture and make sure we're a great company to work for.

Responsibility to our people

Health, safety and wellbeing

Health, safety and wellbeing

As well as working hard to ensure we're a safe place to work, our aim is to provide information and strategies to encourage healthier lifestyle choices and support our KP colleagues with tips, ideas and strategies to improve their wellbeing – not just at work but at home too.

That's why we have a dedicated health and wellbeing team, which runs regular health and wellbeing campaigns in house.

  • KP also has an independently certified health and safety management system and we benchmark our health and safety performance, setting internal targets annually
  • We're signatories to the FDF's Occupational Health & Safety pledge
  • We've signed the 'Time to Change' pledge to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of mental health issues
  • We offer 'Employee Care' an independent assistance programme to help KP colleagues live the life they want to lead
