Financial Planning & Analysis, Reporting Analyst
Bsc in Economics and Finance and I’m currently studying for the CIMA Accounting qualification.
What was your career path to your job day?
I graduated from Exeter University in July 2016 and then went on to do 2 internships in London over the summer. I then joined the Commercial Finance team at KP in January 2017 and moved onto the Graduate Program in September.
What’s the best thing about your job?
The best things about the job would have to be the ability to get involved in cross functional work. This is a fantastic way to widen your knowledge of the business.
Everyone is extremely helpful and there is a great team atmosphere within the office.
What areas of the KP Graduate scheme have you particularly enjoyed?
I really like how you get to rotate around 3 different areas of the business on the Graduate Scheme. This provides you with a broad and in-depth understanding of the business. The Graduate Scheme also provides you with fantastic external training which focuses on areas such as leadership, presentation skills and people management.
What’s it like to work at KP?
Working at KP is great and this is made possible by the people that work here! Everyone is extremely helpful and there is a great team atmosphere within the office.
What’s your favourite KP Snack and why?
I used to always say that Skips were my favourite snack, but that has now recently changed to Big Hoops Beef. They’re great!
Where would you like your career to take you? / Where do you see yourself in five years?
My first aim is to complete all of my CIMA exams and get qualified.
Until I have completed all of the Graduate Scheme rotations I think it would be premature of me to say for certain where I would like to work as I may discover a passion for an area that I might have previously overlooked.
On a broader basis though, the FMCG sector is one which is very appealing to me.
