Inspiring people to get active through cricket

As Official Team Partner of England Cricket and The Hundred, and through our Everyone In Community Pitches Project, we aim to inspire people to get active through cricket, supporting our target of creating more than one million opportunities for people to get more active by 2033.

So far, we've given away over 10,000 sets of bats and balls and 5,000 pop-up cricket pitch kits as well as providing thousands of people with the opportunity to give cricket a try through our free community skills sessions.

We have also installed 100 new permanent, non-turf cricket pitches across the country to support grassroots cricket, encouraging families and children to give cricket a go. They provide year-round availability and improve access to cricket for an estimated 12 million people living within two miles of the new facilities.

These pitches offer greater access for more people through a variety of uses, from families turning up and playing free of charge, through to organised participation programmes such as All Stars and Dynamos, Walking Cricket and Street Cricket programmes.

Suitable locations were identified by assessing against key measures of population reach and bringing cricket to those who may not have had access previously, or where old facilities have degenerated over time. The pitches will be maintained and run by the respective local councils.  Sites can be located using the Everyone In pitch-finder tool.

This initiative is estimated to have helped more than 100,000 people to get more active together since 2021.
