Supporting peanut growers in Argentina

We’re are proud, as part of Intersnack, to be a founding member of SAI Platform's new Regenerative Landscapes Partnership: The Argentina Peanuts Project.

The Argentina Peanuts Project marks a big step forward in supporting farmers in one of the world’s most important peanut growing regions. Whole Earth uses high quality peanuts sourced from Argentina, so investing in regenerative agriculture isn’t just the right thing to do, it helps protect the future of the crops our consumers love.

Argentina is the largest supplier of peanuts to the European market and faces increasing challenges from climate change and soil degradation which require co-ordinated, sector wide action. The Argentina Peanuts Project will support growers to adopt better practices that build soil health and climate resilience and also strengthen the reliability of Scope 3 data used by global buyers.

This three-year collaboration is led by SAI Platform. We are part of a group working collaboratively with farmers, suppliers, technical partners and NGOs to drive credible on-farm change and deliver more consistent sustainability data across the sector.

We are committed to working with our partners to help build a more resilient, climate smart and regenerative future for Argentina’s peanut landscape, creating positive impact, snack by snack (or peanut by peanut).

Creating happy snacking moments starts long before a product reaches the shelf… it starts with responsible sourcing, strong grower and producer partnerships, and crops grown in healthy, thriving landscapes.
