KP Snacks Supporting Healthy Eating in Schools
KP Snacks is proud to be one of just seven supporters for the Healthy Eating Campaign being run this week in over 7,400 schools by the British Nutrition Foundation (BNF). The BNF’s research indicates that a quarter of secondary school children have no breakfast and two thirds do not drink the recommended amount.
This campaign, which is being launched by the Princess Royal, will reach over a quarter of a million school children across the UK. It will encourage them to have breakfast, have ‘5 a day’, drink the recommended number of drinks, try something new and get active. Materials for a range of activities is being provided for teachers to use with their classes to improve children’s understanding of food and the need to eat a healthy balanced diet.
