KP Snacks today announces an exciting partnership with Movember which sees KP Nuts, the UK’s most well-known and best loved nut brand, use its brand awareness and equity to get more people talking about testicular cancer, the most common form of cancer amongst young men.

A series of unique events and initiatives are planned throughout November to raise awareness and to break down taboos associated with testicular cancer.

An exclusive KP Nuts fundraising comedy evening with Omid Djalil forms a central part of the activity. Djalili, will be joined by up and coming comic Lee Peart and footballing legend, John Hartson, who fought testicular cancer in his early-30s. Free to attend, donations to Movember will be welcomed, with the gig encouraging men to talk about their own nuts.

In an effort to encourage KP Nuts partners and colleagues to carry on the conversation, the brand is also organising a series of fundraising initiatives for consumers, colleagues and at 150 Punch Pub Group pubs up and down the country over the course of the month.

KP Nuts will also support the partnership with an £850K OOH and print advertising campaign encouraging men to “Check Your Nuts”.

Sue Mackay, KP Nuts Marketing Manager says, “KP Nuts is the UK’s most well-known and best loved nut brand.  We want to use our brand awareness to help save lives by getting more people talking about testicular cancer. Men up and down the country are opening a packet of KP Nuts over a beer…. a moment when we can raise awareness of the importance of regularly checking your nuts.

“We are extremely proud to be working alongside Movember. Testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer in young men but there is a stigma attached to talking about it.  If caught early, there is a 95% chance of survival. This campaign aims to educate young men on the importance of checking their nuts, whilst raising a smile and as much money as possible for the charity.”

  • Globally men are dying, on average, 6 years younger than women for largely preventable reasons
  • Testicular cancer is the leading cancer diagnosed in 15-40-year-old men. Rates have doubled over the last 50 years
  • 2,300 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer every year in Britain. If diagnosed early most men survive

KP Nuts is a classic British brand, originally launched in 1953 and now worth £64.2m RSV.  Growing at +6.2%, KP Nuts is the UK’s number one branded nut, with 6 million households purchasing products across the range every year. Earlier this year KP revealed a brand-new sunshine design, with a new stand up pack structure and reseal closure across nine hero products.
